Batch Production Electro Chlorinators

Description:
------------
Batch production Electro Chlorinators are designed for small capacities and are available from 15 gms/hr to capacity of 500 gms/hr chlorine equivalent, using our unique Multimetallic Oxides Titanium Nobel Anodes and Electrochemical Process. Production of Sodium Hypochlorite is completed in a batch of every 8 hours, to concentration of around 6-8 gms/litre.

Basic System Components:
---------------------------
Electrolyser Cell,
Rectifier,
Storage Tank and Dosing Pump.
Electro gas chlorinators

Operation:
-----------
A metered amount of water is mixed with common salt to form brine of required concentration [or Seawater is used]. This is the electrolyte used in the process. Electrolyser Cells are dipped in this measured quantity of Brine Solution, contained in a specially made FRP Tank [Bisphenol Resin]. These cells are connected to a rectifier, which converts Alternate current to Direct current. When DC Current passes through these Titanium Anodes with MMO Coating, Sodium Hypochlorite evolves instantaneously with negligible quantities of hydrogen rising up to the surface, which is vented out. This process is based on the chemistry of Electrolysis of Sodium Chloride. The Sodium Hypochlorite thus generated is collected in a storage Tank and applied directly or pumped to the point of application.

Electro Chlorinators

Electrochlorination is a simple and proven technology to convert ordinary salt water [or brine or seawater] into Sodium Hypochlorite by means of Electrolysis. It is produced and applied on -site. The device which uses this technology is named as ElectroChlorinator or Onsite Hypo Generator.

Sodium Hypochlorite is universally accepted for combating slime, algae and other Bio-organisms in Water. The most important aspect of Sodium Hypochlorite usage is its economy effectiveness in killing bio organisms thereby disinfecting water. Electro Chlorinators find application where Chlorine is not readily available or where operation with chlorine is not acceptable. ElectroChlorinators therefore, find application in Drinking Water Treatment, Cooling Water Treatment, Waste Water Treatment, Bleaching, Pharmaceutical formulations and other industrial applications.

The Industries that benefit includes Chemicals & Fertilizers, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Power Stations, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, Pharmaceutical Industries, PesticideIndustries, Food Industries, Dairy Industries, Textiles, Paper and  Pulp Industries, Sugar Plants, Municipalities, Corporations, Townships, Water Boards, Theme Parks, Hotels, Apartment Complexes, Aqua culture Units, Bottling Plants, Swimming Pools, Hospitals etc.

Vacuum Feed Type Gas Chlorinators

Chlorine is universally accepted for combating slime and algae better than any other chemical. The most important aspect of chlorine usage is its economy and effectiveness in killing bio-organisms. Other uses of chlorine include control of H2S and Odor, fly control, sludge bulking and foaming control, ammonia oxidation, BOD reduction, disinfection, bleaching etc.

Chlorinator is a device to provide a continuous and constant supply of metered chlorine in the safest possible manner. Chlorinators find application in Drinking water treatment, Coolng Water Treatment, Waste Water Treatment, Bleaching, Pharmaceutical formulations and other industrial applications

Principle of Operation

Motive Water (water at high pressure) passes through the injector to produce vacuum. This vacuum extends upto Automatic Vacuum Regulator (AVR). The chlorine gas supplied (from Tonnes / Cylinders or Chlorine Evaporators) under pressure is reduced to a lower pressure by Pressure Reducing Value [PRV] and to a constant vacuum at the AVR. The gas under vacum passes through a Gas or Rotameter and Flow Control Valve [FCV].

Automatic Vacuum Regulator

Normally closed and opens only when there is vacuum, thus regulating the flow of chlorine gas in a controlled manner.Exclusive design ensures minimal risk of handling chlorine gas under pressure.

STANDARD ITEMS OF SUPPLY
  • Yoke & Additional Tonner Valve
  • Coiled Copper Tube
  • Manifold valve
  • Gas Filter

Electro Chlorination System

Gas Chlorination System

Electro Chlorination system it mean a saltwater pool. With a salt water pool the water is run through a electronic chlorinater this is a device that separates chlorine from the salt turns it into chlorine gas which is then simultaneously dissolved into the water and never have to add chlorine.

Chlorination Process

Chlorination is used to disinfect the septic system. A liquid chlorine supply canister is hooked up to your septic system by a recalculating pipe that adds chlorine to your waste and waste water as it flows into your septic system. This is done with what is called a venturi chamber connected to the recirculation pipes. The pump keeps the chlorine circulating through with each flush or water drainage.

Chlorine

Chlorine is a component of various compounds, including table salt. It is the second most abundant halogen and 21st most abundant chemical element in Earth's crust. The great oxidizing potential of chlorine led it to its bleaching and disinfectant uses, as well as uses of an essential reagent in the chemical industry. As a common disinfectant, chlorine compounds are used in swimming pools to keep them clean and sanitary. In the upper atmosphere, chlorine-containing molecules such as chlorofluorocarbons have been implicated in ozone depletion. Elemental chlorine is extremely dangerous and poisonous for all lifeforms; however, chlorine is necessary to most forms of life, including humans, in form of chloride ions.

Chlorides

Chlorine combines with almost all elements to give chlorides. Compounds with oxygen, nitrogen, xenon, and krypton are known, but do not form by direct reaction of the elements. Chloride is one of the most common anions in nature. Hydrogen chloride and its aqueous solution, hydrochloric acid, are produced on megaton scale annually both as valued intermediates but sometimes as undesirable pollutants.

Physical characteristics

Chlorine, liquefied under a pressure of 8 bar at room temperature. The liquid column size is ca. 0.3×3 cm.

At standard temperature and pressure, two chlorine atoms form the diatomic molecule Cl2. This is a yellow-green gas that has its distinctive strong smell, the smell of bleach. The bonding between the two atoms is relatively weak (only 242.580 ± 0.004 kJ/mol), which makes the Cl2 molecule highly reactive. The boiling point at regular atmosphere is around −34 ˚C, but it can be liquefied at room temperature with pressures above 8 atmospheres.

Chemical characteristics

Along with fluorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine, chlorine is a member of the halogen series that forms the group 17. Chlorine forms compounds with almost all of the elements to give compounds that are usually called chlorides. Chlorine gas reacts with most organic compounds, and will even sluggishly support the combustion of hydrocarbons.
